BIOGRAPHY

 

CohAn is a global artist with works in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. He was born Brendan Robert Cohan, August 24th, 1966 in Utica, New York. CohAn studied at the Portland School of Art in Maine, and then apprenticed under Adrian Lawson, his grandfather and artistic mentor from an early age. He is a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) MARK Program 2008 Award Recipient.

CohAn has been a practicing artist for more than thirty-five years, in upstate New York. His work has included drawing, painting, pastels, photography, photo-collage, mixed media, digital art, printmaking, wood sculpture and found-object sculpture. CohAn has been involved in digital art since 1992. He is one of the most promising artists translating his digital art into NFTs (non-fungible tokens) today.
